DIY Blanket Fort Movie Night Before She goes Back to School




































Where has the time gone? This summer has been so amazing and full of adventures. So many amazing memories made. I can't believe summer is now about to come to an end and the new school year is about to begin. So needless to say I have really been soaking up these last moments before My Beautiful Daughter starts 2nd grade. 
I can't believe my once 7 pound 4 oz 21 inches little princess is now almost as tall as me and is off to 2nd grade. I'm gonna need some tissues!!!!
 I must say i'm so proud of the lady she has become. 








    I feel like it was just yesterday I was being admitted to the hospital to be induced to give birth to her. I was so nervous to meet her and very excited and impatient. Once she arrived and was placed in my arms I was pretty much speechless. She was everything I ever wanted and more. It was the most amazing feeling knowing this little human grew inside of me for 9 months and now i'm the one who gets to teach and show her the world. Some people think and worry whats to come next after having a child but that was not me. My life had just began and I could not wait to see what the future held. I could not wait to start my life with her. I knew once I held her and she looked into my eyes that from that day for the rest of my life I had a purpose. She gives me a whole new meaning to love that I never even knew existed. A love so deep and strong not one person could break it. As these days fly by and she's off to a new year of school, ready to learn and grow.  I can't say enough I wish time would stop!! We're so busy making memories time seems to fly by. So every night is fort movie night. I love the extra cute giggles and happy smiles when we build the fort. There is just something extra special about hanging out in a blanket fort watching movies and cuddling. 






Moments like these kids remember for a lifetime. 
Take a little extra time to show your little one some love.


To Build The Perfect Fort:
Two big king or queen blankets 
lots of pillows to lay on 
4 Kitchen chairs 
Put two chairs on each side then drape the two blankets over the 4 chairs. 
we added Christmas lights for a little extra fun.

Who knew fast food was so healthy and yummy. Today i'm Super busy but I made sure to bring my 21 day fix approved meals and snacks along with my water and Shakeology for on the go. 

Strength- anyone can workout for 30 mins, but to control what goes on your plate for the other 23 hours. That's hard work!! Let me help you.

21 day fix Chicken Shish Kabobs Recipe










































We love taking trips to our local Farmers market. We pretty much go daily. Its much healthier to eat fresh veggies rather frozen. Plus Kylie loves to pick out her own meals and snacks. I have found with a picky eater its a fun approach. They think they are getting what they want and yes they are but its all healthy So by allowing her to pick out everything she would want makes her think shes getting something special because its what she wants. Parent win.




Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp minced garlic or 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tsp dry minced onion
  • 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • Meat and vegetables:
  • 4 boneless/skinless chicken breasts cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 1 Green bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 red onion
  • You will also need some type of skewers/kabob sticks.


Directions
  1. Mix all the marinade ingredients together well.
  2. Cut up chicken into 1 inch pieces.  Put into bowl or plastic bag and mix chicken with 1/2 the marinade.
  3. Cut up bell peppers into 1 inch pieces.
  4. Mix the remaining 1/2 of the marinade into a separate bowl/bag with the peppers
  5. Marinade for at least a half hour or more.
  6. Alternate the peppers with the chicken on the skewers starting and ending with the peppers
  7. Grill to liking!

21 DAY FIX MEAL PREP RECIPE


Romaine lettuce
Carrots
Green and Red pepper
Broccoli Sprouts
Sunflower seeds
Chi seeds
Ground Chicken  
homemade garlic dressing
Ground pepper
You can add or take out anything you want. 

When you really don't have the time to meal prep this is super easy and fast. 
I made enough for three salads because today i'm on the go with photo shoots I wont have time to stop home and I would rather be prepared then to stop at a fast food place. 



 Our body isn't meant to skip meals or over eat. Its meant to be fed healthy food in the right portion to fuel your body. Have you ever heard the saying you get what you pay for?! Well that's my motto because if you eat Cheap, fast and greasy your body will give you what you paid for. Sluggish, lazy, no energy, frumpy, and weight gain and possibly cancer or some other disease. If you fuel your body with the right foods your body will re-pay with Healthy life, Tons of good benefits and give you all the fuel your body needs to continue threw out the day no matter what your doing eat CLEAN. I think the best time to meal prep is when you get home for the day make at lease meals for two days. Your excuse is the reason you are not succeeding. 21 Day Fix Extreme Turkey Lettuce Wraps





This is another one of my favorite meals. It is quick and easy to make and you can make extra to meal prep for the week. You can play with what you add to make it different. Its really filling and remember portion control is what makes a huge difference most people don't think about the portions when they are eating and they really matter. I use portion control containers even if I go out to eat.  21 day fix is by far my favorite fitness program and I truly believe in the goodness it has to offer. It has truly changed my life along with tons of people I know and coach. 



Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs raw 93% lean ground turkey
1 tsp. garlic powder
or 4 garlic cloves 
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, or yellow  finely chopped
3/4 cup water
3/4 tomato sauce, no sugar added 
6 large lettuce leaves, washed and dried
1 medium tomato, chopped
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions:

Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.  Add turkey; cook stirring frequently for 6 minutes or until no more pink. 
Add fresh garlic or powder, cumin, salt, chili powder, paprika, and oregano; mix well. 
Add onion and bell pepper, cook stirring frequently for 4 to 6 minutes, or until onion is translucent.
Add water and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil Reduce heat to low; cook, covered for 10 to 13 minutes.  Top each lettuce leaf evenly with turkey mixture, tomato and cilantro. you can add a little hot sauce.

1 GREEN & 1 RED
If you add beans 1 YELLOW
If you add avocado add 1 BLUE

21 day fix portion control Chili recipe




















21 day fix Turbo fire Chili recipe 

 This is one of my favorite meals to make! its quick and easy and you can make as much as you want to plan your meals for the week.  The crockpot is the best way to make this. 



Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground turkey

½ cup diced tomatoes


8 oz. whole kernel corn, canned

½ onion, diced

2 cloves garlic

8 oz. black beans, canned

8 oz. pinto, chili, or kidney beans canned

1 tbsp tomato paste
1 package organic chili seasoning
4 oz. low-fat shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
I added 1 hot pepper to make it spicy.



Directions. Brown turkey. Drain and discard any fat. Place all ingredients except cheese into a slow cooker. Cook for 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high. Top with 1 oz cheese if desired.
